 I got the most amazing opportunity to photograph this gorgeous couples 5 year anniversary and I can’t even explain how excited I am about it!

These two are the absolute cutest couple and their love is still shining so so bright after 5 years and 2 babies! They decided to make a trip out to Yosemite in order to celebrate their 5 year anniversary, because the symbol for 5 years is wood. How incredibly special is that?!

Let me tell you, I was ecstatic when they chose Cathedral Beach and Glacier Point. These are my two favorite spots in Yosemite. Yes, I love all of Yosemite; however, for some reason these ones just speak a little extra magic to me.

We started at Cathedral Beach and only had about 15 minutes before we had to make our one hour journey up to Glacier Point. It was pretty dang crazy because absolutely no one was at Cathedral beach. Yes, you read that right! We had the entire beach to ourselves!!!! This is for realz unheard of! It was amazing. We laughed, took in the gorgeous views, and danced along the river. It was pure magic.

After making our way to Glacier point, we had just enough time to walk around, enjoy the views, and really take in all the beauty that this view has to offer. There were no clouds in sight which made Half dome stand out that much more. It started as this gorgeous yellow and then eventually faded from yellow, to orange, to pink, to purple, to blue.

This was Casey and Rodney’s first time to Yosemite National Park and I was thrilled to be able to be the one that they chose to take their photos on this truly special day. We walked around Glacier point for about an hour just taking in the views, getting some amazing photos, and having so many good laughs along the way.

Casey and Rodney, you guys are so incredible. Your light and love shines so bright. I am so honored that you chose me to be your photographer during this incredibly special time in your lives. Thank you so much for trusting me, choosing me to be your photographer, and for picking Yosemite for your anniversary. I am beyond excited for you guys and can’t wait to see all the amazing adventures you two have together.
