Little Josephine, you shine so bright! Born on Saturday, March 12th, 2016 and weighed in at 7lbs 8ounces. Talk about an absolute cutie!
Sunday was Easter which automatically creates the feeling of Spring. You could smell the flowers blooming, and the sun was shining with a special kind of glow that day. Saturday was the perfect day to take newborn portraits. This Sonora Spring Newborn Portrait session was absolutely amazing. We were able to do a few indoor images and then we headed outside once it warmed up a little bit. What better way to celebrate Spring and your new little one than by heading outside into nature to document the moment?!
Little Josephine was awake the entire session. After all she did just turn 14 days old! There is no doubt that she is definitely a thinker. The entire time she was watching me contemplating what I was doing. Wherever I moved, her eyes followed. During the session there were glimpses of Josephine falling off to sleep, but she didn't want any of that. She wanted to make sure she didn't miss a moment of her session.
Josephine is definitely an outside kind of girl. I believe she liked the indoors as she was able to watch everything I did; however, when we got outside a kind of peace came over her. She enjoyed watching the clouds move and feeling the wind blow over her soft skin. Being in her mama's arms was probably one of her favorite moments.
As she was getting ready to head home, mama placing her in the car seat, her eyes started to slowly close and she slowly drifted off into a deep sleep, exhausted after her big day out.
This session holds a near and dear place in my heart. I was so excited because the new mama was an old high school friend and fellow volleyball player. I was ecstatic when she asked me to take her new little ones newborn pictures. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this special time in your life and trusting me to take little Josephine's newborn portraits!
